About Manline
Manline is a counselling and education service run by men, and for men over the age of 13. We are the only counselling and education service especially for men between Hastings and Wellington. We are a non-religious and non-judgemental service that has been helping men for over 30 years
We have offices in Feilding, Palmerston North and Dannevirke for your convenience
Our counsellors are able to work with you around relationships, positive parenting, anxiety, stress, social isolation, sexual and physical abuse, as well as anger and stopping violence programs.
We can also help with workplace conflict, addictions, and other issues whether current or historical.
Manline are funded to provide some services by the Central PHO for mild to moderate mental health , ACC sensitive claims , MSD , Oranga Tamariki, PN City Council, Lotteries Ministry of Justice, and Corrections
What Can You Expect ?
At the first session, we explain to you the process of counselling -what it is and what it is not. We explain the boundaries around confidentiality, privacy and your rights as a client. Usually, you work with just one counsellor.
We will listen to your story, asking questions to get a bigger picture of your life and the issues you are wrestling with. We get some basic information about you, and discuss the options the counsellor believes you have.
You can then decide if you are ready to continue with counselling. If you do decide to continue, you and your counsellor agree to a counselling plan. This plan includes things like how often you might meet, how much you can afford to pay and the options available if cost is a barrier.
